OK, I felt weird photographing this, but it reminded me of my confusion as a teenager living in Poland and watching Friends :) They were mentioning (and the action was taking place) laundry rooms a few times and it was just so weird to me that somebody would not have a washing machine at home but go to a place like this. You wouldn't really find them in Europe, at least not outside college campuses ;)
Czułam się nieco dziwnie wykonując to zdjęcie, ale zrobiłam je bo przypominało mi o czasach, kiedy jako nastolatka mieszkająca w Polsce oglądałam serial "Przyjaciele". Kilkakrotnie były w nim wspomniane (lub rozgrywała się w nich akcja) "laundry rooms", które wyglądały dla mnie niesamowicie egzotycznie ;) Cóż, nie jest to zbyt częsty widok w Europie, szczególnie poza kampusami uniwersyteckimi :)
I was actually surprised by the bike infrastructure. It seemed quite well developed, which left me wonder even more about the lack of pavements for pedestrians in many places.
Jedną z rzeczy, które mnie zdziwiły była dobra infrastruktura rowerowa. Tym bardziej nie byłam w stanie zrozumieć dlaczego w wielu miejscach (np. niedaleko hotelu, w którym spędziłam noc) nie było prawie chodników - po prostu się urywały i dalej była tylko droga dla samochodów 8-|
