Howth - seals and sea gulls

As I already mentioned in one of the previous posts, my favourite place around Dublin is certainly Howth. There are many reasons for this but two of them are definitely seabirds and seals. With puffins, cormorants, guillemots and razorbills around, gulls may not be the most fascinating (I guess mostly because they're so common - I don't really have nothing personal against them other than the fact that one of their preferred means of defence in the face of potential threat seems to be defecating onto that threat - but that's a different story...) but nevertheless fun to photograph. I really don't have to say anything in favour of seals, do I? :)

Jak już pisałam w jednym z poprzednich postów, moim ulubionym miejscem w okolicach Dublina zdecydowanie jest Howth. Wiele jest tego powodów, a dwa z nich to na pewno ptactwo wodne i foki. W miejscu gdzie można spotkać maksonury, kormorany, nurzyki czy alki, mewy nie są ptakami zbyt fascynującymi (tylko przez swoją pospolitość - do samych mew to ja nic nie mam ;-) tzn. poza tym, że jednym z ich ulubionych sposobów obrony przed postrzeganym zagrożeniem wydaje się być defekacja na owo postrzegane zagrożenie - ale to już zupełnie inna historia...) jednak i tak miło się je fotografuje. Do fok chyba nikogo przekonywać nie muszę, prawda? ;-)
